DHS’ Noem Rushed To Hospital By Ambulance, Doctors Release Diagnosis

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin informed Fox News Digital that Noem was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The specific cause of the allergic reaction has not yet been determined, according to the report.

Fox News stated that Noem was alert and recovering from the incident. At the time of the report, it was uncertain when she would be discharged from the hospital.

Bruce LeVell, the former Executive Director of President Donald Trump’s National Diversity Coalition, expressed his support for Noem on social media.

“My dear friend @Sec_Noem, our fearless Secretary of Homeland Security, was just rushed to the hospital,” LeVell posted on X. “My heart is with her during this challenging time, but I know her strength and determination will shine through. Please join me in keeping Kristi in your prayers for a swift and full recovery.

“She has been tirelessly leading @realDonaldTrump’s initiative to maintain law and order and utilize ICE to protect our country from criminals. Let’s stand strong for her, just as she’s stood strong for America,” he added.

Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, also took to social media to encourage prayers for Noem: “Pray for Kristi.”

Last week in California, she conducted a press conference where U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, a Democrat from California, was forcibly removed while attempting to speak with her about immigration raids. Padilla tried to approach Noem but was met with resistance from Secret Service agents who initially did not recognize him. Even after he identified himself, he continued to struggle with the agents before ultimately being taken to the ground and handcuffed.

Padilla recounted the incident during an emotional address on the Senate floor on Tuesday.

The Department of Homeland Security stated that the Secret Service, which is tasked with safeguarding the secretary, “believed he was an assailant.” They further accused Padilla of engaging in “disrespectful political theater.” In light of the recent events involving the assassination of a Minnesota state Democrat and the injury of a state senator, Noem’s supporters asserted that the agents acted appropriately in using force to ensure her safety.

Following the altercation, Noem informed Fox LA that she had a “great” discussion with Padilla, although she criticized his method as “something that I don’t think was appropriate at all.”

Prior to her appointment as Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem held the position of governor of South Dakota for two terms and was formerly a member of Congress. A staunch supporter of President Trump, she has indicated that she specifically sought the Homeland Security role because it aligned with his primary objectives, as reported by the Associated Press.

Earlier this year, on Easter Sunday, Noem’s purse was stolen while she was dining with her family. The purse was said to contain around $3,000 in cash, her keys, driver’s license, passport, and Homeland Security badge. The Department of Homeland Security clarified that the cash was meant to cover gifts, dinner, and other family activities during the holiday.

A suspect has been apprehended in relation to the theft and has been charged in federal court with aggravated identity theft, robbery, and fraud.

The male suspect is reported to be in the country illegally, according to the New York Post, which also noted that a second migrant suspect remains at large.

On April 20, Noem was enjoying an Easter outing with her family at The Capital Burger in Washington, D.C., when a masked thief stole her luxury shoulder bag.
