Musk Isn’t Going Anywhere! Trump Announces the Billionaire Will Always Be With Him!

Elon Musk is concluding his official tenure in the Trump administration, but according to President Trump’s recent post on Truth Social, the billionaire’s involvement will continue.

President Trump announced a press conference with Elon Musk at the Oval Office on Thursday, stating, “I am having a Press Conference tomorrow at 1:30 P.M. EST, with Elon Musk, at the Oval Office. This will be his last day, but not really, because he will, always, be with us, helping all the way. Elon is terrific!” The press conference is scheduled for today, Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 1:30 PM EST.

Musk’s official government service ends on May 30th, marking the legal 130-day limit for his designation as a “special government employee.” He was appointed in January to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was established by executive order on Inauguration Day. Musk also expressed his gratitude to President Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending, stating on X Wednesday, “As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that the “DOGE leaders are each and every member of the President’s Cabinet and the president himself, who is wholeheartedly committed to cutting waste, fraud and abuse from our government.”

The efforts of DOGE have reportedly resulted in significant financial savings. According to a May 26th update on the department’s website, the initiative has saved $175 billion through measures such as asset sales, contract cancellations, and crackdowns on fraudulent payments and other spending cuts. This translates to approximately $1,087 in savings per taxpayer.

DOGE’s influence has spanned across the federal government, although it has faced criticism. Democrats in Congress have been critical of Musk’s role. During a February House Oversight hearing, Representative Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.) described his influence as “reckless and illegal,” accusing President Trump of “outsourcing governing to a billionaire who answers to no one.” Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) also raised concerns, warning that Musk was acting as an “unelected official” within the executive branch.

Despite the criticism, the market appears to have reacted positively to Musk’s return to the private sector. Bloomberg News reported that Tesla shares rose by 4.2% this week following the announcement of his government departure. In an investor call earlier this month, Musk assured shareholders, “Starting in June, I’ll be allocating far more time to Tesla and SpaceX now that the groundwork at DOGE is in place.”

The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
