Trump Triumphs? FBI Reopens Cocaine Investigation at the White House After His Accusations!

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is reportedly revisiting the case of cocaine discovered inside the White House during the Biden administration in 2023, according to a statement from Deputy Director Dan Bongino.

In a post on the social media platform X, Bongino stated that the FBI has decided to re-examine several cases of potential public corruption that have garnered public interest. Among these cases is the discovery of cocaine at the White House and the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. Bongino added that he receives weekly briefings on these cases and that progress is being made. He also encouraged anyone with relevant investigative tips to contact the FBI.

The FBI has not yet responded to a request for further comment from Fox News Digital.

Earlier this year, former President Donald Trump publicly speculated that former President Joe Biden or his son, Hunter Biden, were responsible for leaving the bag of cocaine at the White House. When questioned by The Spectator’s Ben Domenech on the matter, Trump responded, “Well, either Joe or Hunter. Could be Joe, too.”

The bag containing cocaine was found on July 2, 2023, in a storage locker situated near the entrance to the West Wing of the White House. The Secret Service initiated an investigation into the discovery, but ultimately deemed it inconclusive in identifying a suspect.

In a statement released in 2023, the Secret Service noted that the FBI’s laboratory analysis of the substance did not yield latent fingerprints, and the amount of DNA present was insufficient for investigative comparisons. Consequently, the Secret Service was unable to compare the evidence against a known pool of individuals. The FBI’s analysis confirmed that the substance was indeed cocaine.

Former President Trump also commented on the handling of the evidence in the original interview, stating that the storage bins in that area are typically heavily used and contain numerous fingerprints. He questioned why, in this instance, the evidence appeared to have been wiped clean.

At the time of the cocaine discovery, the Biden family, including the former president and Hunter Biden, were not residing at the White House but were at the presidential retreat Camp David in Maryland. Hunter Biden has a well-documented history of substance abuse, which he detailed in his 2021 memoir, “Beautiful Things,” where he described an hourly need for crack cocaine. According to sworn testimony in federal court in 2023, he has since undergone recovery efforts and has been sober since 2019.
